Foreword

Major incident occurs infrequently and many will never face it during their professional carreer! Neverthless correct and swift response of the medical system events are of paramount importance. Proper treatment won’t save (a) live but rescue many patients. In spite of relatively seldom occurence, there was at least one homeland incident annually which overwhelmed arranged regional prehospital and hospital emergency medical services and required reorganisation and help from outside of the region!

Therefore we invite anybody who treats injured patients in the first lines, irrespective of post – whether on the field or in the hospital emergency departments, or if having responsibility for organizing medical services – to attend the course! You will have ample opportunity to train and discuss with colleagues involved in major incident at home and abroad. The need for training for such incidents was recognized also by the Ministry of Health which – in spite of financial crisis – supports that course! The course is organized yearly annually. Information about the course are posted on the website of our society (see below). Our MRMI courses were the only medical training going on even in the times of anti-Covid restrictions.
